Dave Pynt, Owner and Head Chef of Burnt Ends in Singapore, one of Asia’s best restaurants according to the Diners Club® Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, is returning to W Retreat & Spa – Maldives with a series of exclusive culinary events from 21 through to 23 April 2016.
Dave will serve as a Guest Chef and Barbecue Ambassador during his stay, whilst also training the W talents in the preparation and presentation methods of his famed barbecue dishes.
Hailing from Perth, Australia, Dave Pynt returns to the retreats luxury playground with a heavy weight culinary background, having worked under legends such as Tetsuya Wakuda (Tetsuya’s and Waku Ghin), Rene Redzepi (Noma), Victor Arguinzoniz (Asador Etxebarri), Nuno Mendes (Viajante and The Loft Project) and Fergus Henderson (St John and St John Bread and Wine) to name a few.
During his stay, Dave will present his standout signature dishes at FISH, the overwater signature seafood restaurant, and FIRE, the al fresco barbecue venue offering dishes from charcoal grill, tandoor oven and spit roaster. Menu highlights will include smoked quail eggs and caviar, Jamaican chicken, pork cheeks, dry aged striploin with lobster hollandaise, and kingfish head kebab.
