With help from its guests, Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney promises a brighter Mother’s Day this year for the less fortunate women residing at Manly Women’s Shelter.
Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney has pledged to donate 10 per cent of the revenue raised from its Mother’s Day High Tea transactions to the Manly Women’s Shelter in an effort to raise some much-needed funds for the women living there. In addition, the hotel will also be donating 10 per cent of all the room revenue generated on Sunday 8 May.
The Manly Women’s Shelter is a non-government organisation, which has been assisting distressed women since 2010. Its aim is to provide short-term homeless women with security, support and assistance to ensure they feel safe.
President of Manly Women’s Shelter, Julia Lever said: “We help all women over 18 in crisis including many mothers. The funds Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney raise on Mother’s Day will assist us greatly to help them re-build their lives. Every dollar helps us and we appreciate this thoughtful initiative”.
The Mother’s Day High Tea will be served from midday on Sunday 8 May in the Lady Fairfax room and offers a range of sweet and savoury treats.
High Tea costs range from $49 – $69 per person.
