An exclusive portfolio of Small Group Discoveries, new Signature Experiences and Special Interest Cruises are just a handful of the highlights featured in APT’s elegantly designed Europe River Cruising 2017 brochure.
The luxury travel operator has redesigned the brochure to make it even easier for travel agents and their clients to navigate the extensive range of APT Collection cruises, grand rail journeys and luxury land journeys.
The latest addition to APT’s European portfolio is its new Small Group Discoveries, an exclusive collection of seven luxury land journeys crafted for just 20 guests. Designed to give guests a detailed exploration of their destination at a more leisurely pace, guests travel in comfort aboard a luxury coach on APT’s new journeys. Destinations include Croatia & Montenegro, France, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Sicily and Spain.
Staying in unique and authentic accommodation and with a dedicated APT escort guiding the group throughout, guests who choose these exceptional tours will enjoy Signature Experiences ranging from a special cooking class with a Michelin Star Chef at their private apartment in Lyon; to the chance to assist with a live seafood auction in the Spanish port of Palamós; learning about Sicily’s Mount Etna accompanied by a professional Volcanologist; and taking an after hours private visit, followed by dinner at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens, featuring magnificent works of the 3rd Millennium BC.
Sailing aboard it’s Magnificent Europe APT Collection cruises, which in the new brochure are priced from $6495 per person, twin share, the award winning operator already features three Royal Signature Experiences: a journey aboard the luxurious Majestic Imperator train: a private visit to Namedy Castle; and a private musical soiree at Vienna’s newly refurbished City Palace.
In 2017 APT will introduce a new Royal Signature Experience on its Bordeaux river cruises – a special visit to Château de Cazeneuve, once home of the Kings of Navarre and later King Henri IV of France and his wife Queen Margot.
APT will treat guests to a private tour before sitting down to dinner in the impeccable Grand Salon, while enjoying the traditional music from a Baroque band.
Also in France, APT has added a new Signature Experience on its Seine river cruise itineraries. Guests will stop in Vernon and enjoy an exclusive visit to Château de Bizy, the private home of descendants of Prince Jerome Napoleon. Here they will enjoy time to explore the house and gardens before enjoying a glass of sparkling wine in this historic setting.
APT’s Special Interest Cruises feature its popular Wine Cruises. These will continue in 2017 with four expert APT Wine Ambassadors on the various departures: Scott McWilliam of McWilliam’s Family Winemakers; Peter Barry from Jim Barry Wines; Cherry Stowman, Senior Brand Ambassador for Taylors Wines; and Bruce Tyrrell of Tyrell’s Wines.
APT is also excited to introduce its new Cycling Cruises in 2017. Two itineraries are available: Cycling Magnificent Europe and Bordeaux by Bicycle. Both offer plenty of opportunity to explore the local area by bike and cover trails of varying intensity. Expert cyclists accompany the rides and bike hire and the services of an on road support vehicle are also included.
APT will continue to offer a range of market leading SuperDeals in 2016, including Fly from $995 across all APT Collection cruise itineraries and Business Class deals from $4995 per person.
In addition, APT is offering its Early Payment Discount whereby guests will save $150 per person on holidays of 8-14 days and $300 per person on holidays of 15 days or more when they book and pay 10 months prior to departure.
APT is also continuing its Travel with Friends & Save offer – guests who travel with five friends on the same date will save $300 per person on cruises of 15 days or more. Both offers are combinable with all APT SuperDeals, which are valid until 31 August 2016.
