Parrot Cay by COMO has launched special babymoon packages for expectant couples to enjoy COMO Shambhala cuisine and treatments on its private tropical island hideaway in the Caribbean.
Expecting mothers can indulge in the group’s signature COMO Shambhala cuisine, named after COMO’s holistic wellness brand, COMO Shambhala, and in a philosophy embracing all that is seasonal, pure and sustainable in delicious, nourishing combinations.
The cuisine, developed by Christina Ong and COMO’s Group Executive Chef over a 10-year period, is based on the theory that a proper healthy diet avoids calorie counting but instead requires enjoyable food, intelligent portions, variety and balance. The recipes therefore focus on a perfectly calibrated mix of raw and cooked ingredients with specific nutritional purposes. The resulting dishes please the palate while helping to boost concentration and energy, balance blood sugar levels, and cleanse the body from the outside in.
The other signature experience of any COMO stay is the signature COMO Shambhala Retreat, in Parrot Cay overlooking mangroves and wetlands rich with over 175 species of birdlife, including ruby-throated hummingbirds. The COMO Shambhala team at Parrot Cay have adapted their signature treatments to accommodate all stages of pregnancy. The Pre-natal Massage starts with a floral foot bath followed by a full body massage using pillows for comfort and concludes with a relaxing full face massage.
Other treatments include the restorative Deep Tissue Massage, allowing for the release of deeply held tensions while draining the body of toxins. The combination of muscle compression and cross fiber friction to increase blood flow ensure expectant guests leave the treatment room feeling revived.
Parrot Cay by COMO boasts a range of rooms, suites and villas, many of them with private pools and direct access to the beach. All accommodation options maximise natural light, creating sun-filled spaces facing the sea. Parrot Cay’s warm, contemporary look with a colonial-style finish, features soft white cottons, cushions and four-poster beds. Further design motifs include teak furnishing, terracotta tiles and Indonesian loungers. Windows are shuttered, and bathrooms are white tongue-and-groove with wooden surfaces.
The 74-suite resort in the British West Indies, favoured by identities in the fashion and film worlds, is the ultimate babymoon destination. Located in the northern part of the Caribbean, the Turks and Caicos are an archipelago of eight principal islands and more than 40 smaller cays, of which Parrot Cay is one. Miami is a 70-minute flight away. The ocean is warm, and beaches softly shelving. What makes this sea so extraordinary is its uncanny shade of turquoise.
The babymoon package starts from AUD$1447 per person based on two guests in a Terrace Room (subject to tax and service charges) and includes:
• Daily half-board and COMO Shambhala Juices
• One 60-minute Ayurvedic wellness consultation
• One 60-minute private prenatal yoga session
