Bellagio by MGM Shanghai is set to open in 2017 along the Bund in Shanghai, on the banks of the Suzhou River, next to the Waibaidu Bridge, and offering exceptional views of the Bund and the Lujiazui district.
The Bellagio brand is characterised by the Italian La Bella Figura philosophy that fuses beauty, style and grace. The hotel will feature 165 luxury guest rooms including 25 suites, celebrity chef Julian Serrano’s restaurant with a large outdoor terrace, five multi-function meeting rooms with nearly 2000 square metres of space, a large ballroom, a Zen spa and fitness centre.
In May 2016, Ronald Kang was announced as the Area Vice President of Bellagio Shanghai. A 30-year hospitality veteran, Kang had served as GM at Hyatt Hotels in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, India, Hong Kong and Mainland China. Prior to joining Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality, Ronald worked as Area Vice President for Park Hyatt Beijing. In his new role, Ronald will be responsible for the entire hotel operations, business planning and development strategy, and lead the hotel to continually delight guest with its Bellagio’s hospitality.
