A new itinerary featuring all the must-see sights of Southern Africa and an extension to the Okavango Delta are just some of the highlights of Travelmarvel’s latest Africa touring programme.

Available in travel agencies from today, the new Travelmarvel Africa 2017 brochure offers a choice of nine tours ranging from 12 to 30 days. Journeys cover South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Kenya and Tanzania with prices starting from $4995 per person, twin share.

The latest addition to the portfolio for 2017 is the 13-day Southern Safaris, a journey featuring three nights each in Cape Town and Greater Kruger National Park, and a night in Johannesburg in South Africa; three nights in Livingstone, Zambia to take in the breathtaking Victoria Falls; and two nights at the Chobe Bush Lodge in Botswana. This new tour is priced from $6595 per person twin share.

Travelmarvel has also extended its portfolio of tour extensions, offering the chance to explore Botswana’s flood plains and experience this UNESCO World Heritage Site on a new four-day journey through the Okavango Delta. Guests stay at the safari-style camp Moremi Crossing comprising luxury tents located on raised decks with views across the floodplains of Moremi Game Reserve.

Agents can also offer a two-night extension to all itineraries in the new brochure, staying one night in Pretoria and one night on the elegant Blue Train.

Other extensions include three nights in Rwanda and the chance to see mountain gorillas or four days enjoying the white sands and history of Zanzibar. Travelmarvel also features the opportunity to upgrade to a two-night stay aboard the Chobe Princess Safariboat in Botswana’s Chobe National Park.

Travelmarvel accommodation throughout Africa comprises hand-picked lodges, camps and hotels, the latter of which are all centrally located. Highlights include the chance to stay at the AVANI Victoria Falls Resort situated five minutes from the falls themselves and the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge set against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Special stays included as part of Travelmarvel’s Insider Experiences – a portfolio of authentic sightseeing and accommodation – include the Shishangeni Lodge at a private game reserve in the Kruger National Park and the Kati Kati Camp, in the Serengeti.

These join other experiences in the portfolio, such as visiting a Maasai Village to learn about the local way of life; and the chance to enjoy a taste of Africa with culinary experiences including a bush dinner under the African night sky.

Commenting on the new programme Travelmarvel Executive General Manager David Cox said, “We’ve had high levels of pre-registered interest for this brochure and Africa is once again proving a popular choice for our guests who want to see the iconic sights and the incredible wildlife all in one trip. Travel agents can add on several components to each tour so clients can tailor their journey while also enjoying comprehensive inclusions and great value for money.”

Included in core itineraries are all flights within Africa and the services of a dedicated Travelmarvel Tour Director for the entire journey, taking care of all the details to ensure the tour is comfortable and seamless.

Additional services of English-speaking local guides and expert game trackers, game drives, Insider Experiences, all accommodation with ensuites as standard, many meals, game viewing by land and boat in the Chobe National Park, tipping, game park fees and transfers are also included in the price.

Travelmarvel is offering a choice of two Earlybird Specials: a $1000 per couple Air Credit or the chance to fly Business Class from $5295 per person. International flights are with South African Airways.
