Cruise Express is offering a $1000 per couple saving on a new 14-night, European cruise tour package for bookings made by 31 October 2016. The discount means the package, including two nights in Rome with sightseeing, a luxury, 10-night Mediterranean cruise and return flights from Australia, is now available from $5490 per person, twin-share.

The ‘Mediterranean Magic’ tour starts on 29 April 2017, with a flight from Australia to Rome where guests will be welcomed at a special dinner hosted by Cruise Express. Two nights’ accommodation and a sightseeing tour of Rome featuring Vatican City are included in the package.

From Rome, guests then board the 2000-passenger Celebrity Constellation for a 10-night cruise to Barcelona. The journey will take guests to six destinations – Naples on the Amalfi Coast, Catania in Sicily, Valletta in Malta, the island of Mallorca and the Spanish ports of Cartagena and Valencia.

After disembarking in Barcelona, guests will fly back to Australia.

Available as an optional extra is a pre-cruise, nine-night land tour in France escorted by Cruise Express that includes Paris, the Champagne region, the castle-dotted Loire Valley and accommodation at three ornate French chateaux – Le Château de Rilly near Reimes, Le Château d’Esclimont near Chartres and Château de la Bourdaisière in the Loire Valley.

The tour also includes visits on Anzac Day 2017 to the two Somme Valley villages of Villers Bretonneux and Hamel, which Australian soldiers bravely freed during the Western Front battles of the Great War in 1918. Guests will attend the April 25 dawn service at the Australian Memorial in Villers-Bretonneux, marking the 99th anniversary of the war-changing battles on the Somme.

The French tour starts and ends in Paris, with guests then flown to Rome to begin the Mediterranean Magic cruise tour.

Including return flights, the 14-night Mediterranean Magic package is available from $5490 per person, twin-share, or $7490 for solo travellers, if booked by 31 October 2016.

Including flights and the nine-night, pre-cruise France tour, the longer 23-night itinerary is priced from $10,480 per person, twin-share or $13,980 for solo travellers, if booked before 31 October 2016.

Fares are valid from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
