Butterfield & Robinson has announced its partnership with the world’s leading maker of Arctic luxury apparel, Canada Goose, to launch Canada Goose Adventure Tours.
The two Canadian brands will launch the programme with two unique trips: the first in Iceland, known for its cold oceanic climate, and the second in Newfoundland, a province ruled by the harsh waters that surround it (more details below). Expeditionary activities will range from snorkelling and sea kayaking to snowmobiling and all-terrain adventures. Guests will stay at luxurious wilderness lodges, savour culinary delicacies and relish many natural wonders.
Guests will be at one with the elements by sporting apparel from the Canada Goose Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer collections, including the iconic Expedition Parka, technical rain shells, award-winning HyBridge Lite pieces and accessories. The two trips include:
Canada Goose Iceland Adventure
5 – 10 March, from US $13,630 per person
Travelling in a modified 4X4 vehicle, travellers will set forth on the outdoor adventure of a lifetime. Hike through Thingvellir National Park and snorkel between two continental plates; visit one of Iceland’s most scenic waterfalls and snowmobile to Langjökull, Iceland’s second largest glacier; walk along the Sólheimajökul glacier and soak in the blue geothermal waters of Blue Lagoon.
Canada Goose Newfoundland Adventure
8 – 11 June, from US $ 7495 per person
Experience the rugged and raw nature of Newfoundland’s Fogo Island on this luxury adventure. Witness 10,000 year old icebergs sailing offshore and hike the trails of Fogo Island; join the crew of the MV Ketanja for an afternoon of ocean discovery and gaze upon ancient glaciers as they drift by; learn to row a punt, explore abandoned settlements, and enjoy a traditional boil-up lunch with new friends.
Groups will range between 10 to 20 guests and trip length between six to 10 nights, depending on destination and nature of the trip. Additional 2017 destinations will be announced later this year.
