At sunset, guests are invited to take The Frames Gondola for a closer look a the wildlife, backwaters and the nearby River Port of Renmark – Australian sparkling wine provided. The gondola itself is a 1890’s restored boat. Riding back to the accommodation at night, when everything the lights of The Frames are shining underneath the starry sky, is an experience to remember.
Located just a comfortable three-hour drive from Adelaide or a 90-minute drive from Mildura, The Frames also offers transfers from Adelaide and Mildura airports, taking scenic routes and making stops along the way.
Story behind The Frames
The Frames is the creation of Rick and Cathy Edmonds, owners of the Riverland citrus farm, a grape growing business and portfolio of award-winning visitor accommodation in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
“We’re incredibly busy running our different operations,” says Cathy, “so when we seek out an escape, we’re looking for somewhere that offers absolute luxury so we can totally recharge and reconnect.”
“We’ve experienced some beautiful places around Australia but we’ve never quite found what we really want. So, in the end there was only one option – to build it for ourselves!”
“The Frames is a place to leave the world behind and disappear into a truly gorgeous setting. It’s the chance to get together and celebrate the best things in life.”
