Captain’s Choice is returning to international skies in 2018 with an exclusive portfolio of private jet adventures for the world’s most discerning travellers.
To celebrate the announcement, Captain’s Choice hosted an exclusive luncheon at Chiswick in Sydney’s Woollahra on Friday 3 February. Guests, including LATTE, feasted on Matt Moran’s sumptuous shared menu, featuring wood-fired focaccia, beetroot salad, grilled baby octopus, whole roasted chicken and the standout Moran Family lamb shoulder with baby eggplant and chermoula.
Guests were told of the newly chartered Boeing 757-200, configured to seat just 50 passengers in spacious luxury, will fly with Captain’s Choice guests to destinations that might otherwise take days to travel between on four separate itineraries, including a rare Around-the-World Journey.
Each itinerary has been individually curated to deliver authentic and meaningful experiences in destinations as popular as Venice and as remote as Easter Island, while the miles between them are spent in effortless luxury.
Unusually for a luxury jet operator, Captain’s Choice has designed all journeys bar one to depart from Sydney, removing the need for Australian travellers to fly long-haul on a commercial airline to meet their travelling co-hort.
Captain’s Choice Executive General Manager, Rob Tandy, said the new programme represented an evolution in private jet touring for the brand, which pioneered the travel style for the Australian market in the 1990s.

Our new private jet could carry 230 but we’ve opted for a configuration that just seats just 50 because travelling in a group that is small enough to have meaning interactions in different destinations is a true privilege.

Unique experiences unobtainable any other way are a key feature of the carefully curated itineraries, with Captain’s Choice locking in exclusive dinners with Michelin-starred chefs, private tours and guest-only events throughout the programme.
On the Ultimate South America journey guests will have a meal prepared for them by Argentine master of fire, Francis Mallmann, and have a chance to watch him demonstrate his signature cooking methods.
Guests on the 21-day Around the World journey will dine on the Great Wall of China, and will be treated to their own Mini Nadaam festival on the Mongolian Steppe before jetting off to Samarkand in Uzbekistan and attending a masquerade ball in Doge’s Palace in Venice.
