LATTE was among the attendees at British Airways‘ Sydney announcement of a host of new ventures this week including the introduction of two new aircraft. BA also announced the launch of its new amenity kits, a collaboration with Liberty London.

BA has ordered 12 Airbus A380 aircraft which will arrive by 2016. The first three will arrive during 2013, with a further five arriving by the end of 2014. Along with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, it will form the centrepiece of British Airways’ £5 billion investment in products and services to benefit customers.
The aircraft launches into commercial service flying customers to Los Angeles, followed by Hong Kong. It offers a choice of British Airways’ First, Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller cabins and has a total of 469 seats.
The other new aircraft is the Boeing 777-300ER. Equipped with the new First and World Traveller cabins, a new IFE system and a new crew rest area, the latest arrival represents the future face of British Airways.
Liberty London collaboration
Top British brand Liberty London has created an exclusive range of amenity kits for customers flying in First with British Airways. The stylish washbags feature a contemporary look using a range of carefully chosen prints from Liberty London’s vast textiles archive, updated for today’s modern traveller. The new Liberty London First washbags appear on board from 7 January 2017. Throughout the year further print designs will be added to the collection.
The women’s washbag features ‘Christelle’, an eye-catching oriental-inspired floral print, and comes complete with a convenient wristlet. The men’s washbag features a black embossed textured exterior, with ‘Felix Raison’ paisley motif printed lining. Prints for both the men and women’s Liberty London washbags were chosen to reflect BA’s own colour scheme and contain a range of carefully chosen skincare and wellbeing products provided by Aromatherapy Associates, respectively. Initially the new Liberty London wash bags will be introduced on BA’s

A380 Heathrow-Los Angeles red carpet route and then they will be offered to customers flying in First on the rest of the airline’s worldwide network. Customers flying in First with BA can enjoy dedicated check-in desks and Fast Track access to a network of exclusive luxurious lounges around the world – including the prestigious Concorde Room in London’s Terminal 5 and New York’s Terminal 7 – to relax, dine and drink fine wines and champagnes before their flight.
Once on board they have their own private, spacious suite, with a fully flat bed, complete with mattress and a crisp white cotton duvet to sleep during the flight. Or they can unwind watching thousands of hours of the latest movies and TV shows thanks to British Airways High Life Entertainment on widescreen TVs, and enjoy delicious inflight dining served by attentive cabin crew at 35,000 feet.
