The worldwide celebration of French food received a tropical twist at the French Pacific Islands Good France/Goût de France dinner on Monday 20 March. The third edition of the worldwide gastronomic initiative saw more than 2000 restaurants in 150 countries celebrate French cuisine on Tuesday 21 March, led by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and multi-Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse. At Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, guests of Tahiti Tourism, New Caledonia Tourism and Atout France feasted on a menu created by Nicolas Bourgois from Nouméa’s Carpe Diem and Sebastien Prevel from Le Méridien, Bora Bora. The evening of dining and entertainment highlighted the relationship between the cuisine of mainland France and its Pacific islands, showcasing delectable dishes such as poisson cru.
