Opened in April 2012, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit has made a name for itself in the luxury hotel market by marrying French sophistication with Thai hospitality and design. Available between now and Oct. 31 of this year, the ‘5th Anniversary Package’ offers guests the chance to stay for up to five nights in a Luxury Club Millésime Room starting at THB 5500 per night. The offer includes a commemorative, five-item gift basket, daily breakfast and access to the hotel’s posh club lounge, Club Millésime, where a selection of sweet treats, gourmet canapes and refreshments are served up throughout the day.
“It’s been an exciting and eventful first five years,” said William Haandrikman, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit’s general manager for the past three years. “By always listening intently to our guests and being fearless about incorporating new features, we’ve turned a luxury hotel into one that is undeniably in a league of its own. “And to think: We’ve got more in the works, for this year alone. Bring on the next half decade.”
‘5th Anniversary Package’ patrons are also encouraged to visit the lobby bar during the 5 o’clock p.m. hour, when specialty cocktails and fine wines can be had for US $5 a glass.
Inspired by the art deco period, the 345 room, limestone, steel and glass structure extends 32 stories above fashionable Sukhumvit Road and is capped by L’Appart, a Parisianstyle restaurant, bar and lounge designed to look and feel like a penthouse apartment. A rice motif — in honor of the grain that has shaped Thailand’s landscape and culture — runs throughout the property, site of the country’s only Le SPA with L’Occitane and the sole art gallery inside a hotel in Bangkok.
