Beverly Hills has welcomed another luxury hotel to its neighbourhood, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, marking the first hotel to be opened in the area since 2008. The new 12-storey, 170-room hotel opened its doors on 1 June 2017 and is the brand’s first new-build on the West Coast of North America. The property stands at the intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards – the gateway to Beverly Hills.
The new Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is located nearby the globally recognised five-star hotels: The Peninsula Beverly Hills, The Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows, Viceroy L’Ermitage Beverly Hills, Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, and Montage Beverly Hills.
The city proudly claims the largest concentration of five-star and five-diamond hotels in the US, second only to New York. Hotels in this glamorous city dot the streets, catering to movie stars, monarchs, studio moguls and regular visitors alike, offering a home away from home with the finest quality for every taste and budget.
Julie Wagner, CEO of Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau comments: “Beverly Hills is the world’s iconic hub of luxury travel and five-star hotels, offering guests the perfect destination to relax in its numerous gardens and parks, shop for designer or boutique brands and recuperate at its world-class spas. The breathtaking views and chic feel of the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills will attract customers from all over the globe and is sure to be a huge success.”
Each of the 170 guestrooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto elegant private balconies. Villa Suites offer guests manicured individual terraces and stunning views of the Hollywood Hills to the nearby expansive urban canyon of Century City. The over-sized guestrooms feature state-of- the-art technology and provide the utmost comfort.
Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills has formed a partnership with renowned luxury Swiss beauty company, La Prairie, to open Spa La Prairie within the hotel. The spa acts as the perfect tranquil haven, offering a rejuvenating and relaxing atmosphere for guests to unwind by experiencing the brand’s internationally recognised signature products and age-defying treatments.
Beverly Hills has long been recognised as a renowned culinary destination, from five-star gourmet dinners to charming bistros, as well as al fresco lunches and innovative eateries across the city. Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills continues to catapult the culinary credentials of the city by uniting with award-winning Michelin-starred Jean-Georges Vongerichten to provide guests with exquisite dishes inspired by his global travels. Jean-Georges joins celebrity chefs Wolfgang Puck of Spago, Curtis Stone of Maude, Thomas Keller of Bouchon and Geoffrey Zakarian of Georgie and The Garden Bar.
The hotel is not short of bespoke amenities; a personal concierge is assigned to every guest throughout the entirety of their stay to offer expert restaurant and cultural recommendations within the city and beyond. Guests can indulge in a spot of shopping at the hotel’s boutiques or head to Rodeo Drive just a 12-minute walk away.
Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is currently participating in the city wide initiative, Beverly Hills: The City of WELLTH, that launched last month promoting health and wellness offerings throughout the city. From now until 31 August 2017, guests can reserve the Detox & Cleanse Package that includes one night in a King or Queen Deluxe Room, a detoxifying bath and massage infused with ginger, coriander and plai essential oils as well as a cleansing tea ceremony service at the end of the day.
