Contours Travel announces early bird special on Latin America tours

Australians in 2018 can join guided tours of either Mexico or South America and save $1000 per couple thanks to an early bird deal offered by Contours Travel, the longest-running Latin American tour operator in Australia. The offer is valid for bookings made by 29 September 2017.

Contours Travel’s 20-day ‘Treasures of Mexico’ group tour aims to showcase the country’s highlights. Boasting more World Heritage sights than any other country in the Americas, Mexico is a fascinating mix of ancient step pyramids, colonial towns, deep canyons, world-renowned cuisine and stimulating cities.

The hosted tour will begin with four days in Mexico City, with its grand central square, world-famous anthropology museum and enormous Chapultepec Park – home to the impressive Chapultepec Castle. Travellers can climb the famous Teotihuacan Pyramids – huge structures built around 100 BC as by the ancient Teotihuacans. The journey then continues through Central and South Mexico, where travellers will see vibrant musical and art displays, colourful regional markets, scenic valleys, and taste delicious cuisine – even taking part in a private cooking lesson.

The tour continues to the colonial city of San Cristobal, with its cathedrals, handicraft markets and impressive architecture – and the surrounding villages where travellers will see and learn about the local indigenous cultures. The Yucatan Peninsula is next in the itinerary, with its natural and man-made wonders, before it finishes with a relaxing time in Riviera Maya on the beautiful Caribbean coast.

The 20-day tour departs on 24 February, 26 May, 1 September and 6 October 2018. Including flights from Australia, prices are from $9100 per person, twin-share from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, $9400 from Adelaide or Hobart and $9600 from Perth. These prices include the $500 per person early bird special if booked before 29 September 2017.

Contours Travel is also offering the $500 per person discount on its 27-day ‘Treasures of South America’ tour.
