VOMO is renowned for its diverse dive sites with incredible visibility and warm waters. Marine life – from schools of butterfly fish and oriental sweetlips through to regal napoleon wrasses, turtles and eagle rays with a background of coral overhangs, caves and tunnels – is spectacular. Yet it is not the stunning sea life that has won this award but the quality of instructors and dive equipment that places VOMO in this prestigious PADI five-star group.
PADI awards this accolade to a resort that offers a full range of diver education programmes, equipment selection and experience opportunities, and one that actively promotes aquatic environmental awareness. PADI requires the resort to be active in its community, to present a professional image, and to embrace the PADI System of diver education. It needs to be committed to providing customers with quality products, services and experiences.
Mark Leslie, GM VOMO said, “This is a fantastic accolade for VOMO to receive and we are truly thrilled that our diverse dives, education and equipment have been recognised in this manner. VOMO offers a number of courses from the Deep Diver, Wreck Diver and underwater photography through to the night diver course where the ocean comes to life under the glow of a dive torch.”
One of the many reasons guests love VOMO is its proximity to excellent dive sites. There are five dive sites around VOMO just five to ten minutes by boat from the Activities Centre. Other renowned sites accessible from VOMO include:
