Evason Hua Hin has announced that Jean-Christian Jury, former chef and patron of Michelin-starred vegan restaurant, La Mano Verde in Berlin, will curate the inaugural Blue Lotus Master Class.
Jury is currently touring the globe to promote the launch of his most recent publication, ‘Vegan: The Cookbook’. Dates for the 2017 Master Classes have been set for 6–10 and 13–17 November.
Participants will be able to enrol for the week-long events under an exclusive package that includes:
- Six nights’ accommodation with breakfast
- Five days/25 hours of tuition at Blue Lotus – The Learning Center for Plant-based Cuisine
- Curating and certification by Jean-Christian Jury
Jury is an internationally acclaimed chef from Toulouse, France. While working in London’s fast-paced restaurant sector, his health suffered greatly, which he attributes to his relentless work schedule and poor diet. Heeding this wake-up call, he began delving into the study of raw and vegan food and embraced a healthy diet and lifestyle. In 2007, he opened his first vegan restaurant, La Mano Verde, in Berlin. He is now based in Los Angeles but continues to travel the world, exploring global vegan cuisine and publish vegan recipes. His last book ‘Vegan: The Cookbook’ by Phaidon, is a reference in plant-based cooking.
Managing director at Evason Hua Hin, Alan Thomas, commented, “It is an honour and a privilege to be able to welcome Jean-Christian to Blue Lotus to take charge of our First Master Class. He pioneered and raised the bar of the vegan movement in Berlin, and we are confident that he will do likewise in Southeast Asia. We aim to be able to continue to promote Blue Lotus as an open-platform for further master classes from leaders within the plant-based community.”
