Six Senses Zighy Bay is renowned for its out-of-the-ordinary escapades, and the Dhahab – meaning gold in Arabic – is a singular experience designed for the ultimate sea-hotel adventure. The 27.5-metre vessel features one stateroom and two cabins with private bath facilities, and can accommodate six people.

Cruise through the Gulf of Oman and discover the waterways of Musandam with close friends and family aboard a traditional, hand-crafted Omani dhow. The dhow, once used to take epic voyages across the high seas for trade, today creates an unforgettable journey for guests to an undiscovered side of Oman. Watch the sunset flicker off the Musandam fjords, glide over azure waters and some of the world’s most famous diving sites, and gaze upon the dramatic Hajar Mountains. This is the perfect way to begin a remarkable cruise experience in congenial company.

While sailing through the waters of Haffa, Sanat, Lima, Khor Kabahl and Khor Habaleen, guests will enjoy the beauty of an underwater world with tailor-made dive experiences for novices and experts alike. Those who prefer above-water activities can tour the fjords in a speedboat or kayak (both single and twin), or try snorkelling, hand-line fishing or water-skiing. Inside the Dhahab, there’s a wide selection of games and a relaxing private lounge in which movies on demand are waiting. At night, the daybeds on the upper deck and the captain’s deck provide a picturesque platform for stargazing.

The Dhahab’s three-day itinerary starts with a cruise to Haffa and Sanat bays. On day one, the GEM (Guest Experience Maker) will recite ancient folklore tales while guests discover the myth of the dinosaur footprint. Leaving Sanat, the cruise continues along Lima Bay to anchor in Khor Kabahl for lunch where a leisurely afternoon is spent swimming, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing or taking a speedboat tour along the majestic fjords.

On their second day, guests wake to sun salutations during a morning yoga session on the upper deck. They can book a bespoke dive experience, for beginners or advanced divers, to explore colourful coral and sea creatures. Massage is also available onboard the dhow by a seasoned Six Senses Spa therapist. The final day of the itinerary sees Dhahab departing for Khor Habaleen Bay, passing quaint fishing villages which seem almost frozen in the past. Guests can learn about local culinary traditions with an onboard cooking class or relax over a gourmet lunch before cruising back to Zighy Marina at Six Senses Zighy Bay.

This cruise experience would not be complete without the sumptuous meals provided on board, designed by the Dhahab’s Chef De Cuisine who is able to customise meals to meet individual requests or dietary requirements. In line with the Eat With Six Senses philosophy, meals are prepared from fresh organic ingredients and include both international and local fare, as well as the catch of the day. Morning and afternoon snacks are always available.

The three-day/two-night tailored itinerary is priced at US$22,000 and includes all meals and soft beverages –valid for sale until 20 December 2018.
