The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach has revealed it will debut its new Diamond Head Tower on 15 October 2018, marking the completion of the massive 552-room resort.

The new tower complements The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach’s ‘Ewa Tower which opened nearly two years ago.

“We are excited to continue redefining the standard for luxury hospitality in Waikiki with the debut of our completed resort featuring both towers,” said Douglas Chang, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach.

“We look forward to welcoming discerning travellers from around the globe to experience the finest residential-influenced accommodation on Oahu. A design with a story
The resort’s new 245-residence Diamond Head Tower complements the 307-residence ‘Ewa Tower. Guerin Glass Architects, inspired by Hawaii’s natural elements, designed both 38-storey towers using a mauka (mountain) to makai (sea) vision that is seen in the resort’s stunning exterior through artful details and inspired craftsmanship. The exterior front reflects the ocean, sky and wind and the exterior back reflects the mountains and Honolulu’s urban metropolis. A three-dimensional, modern interpretation of traditional Hawaiian kapa (bark cloth) design covers the first three floors of each tower.

Interior design firm Jon Brent Design’s understated elegance, contemporary island-deco and modern luxury inspiration is seen throughout the resort’s common areas and 552 stylishly appointed studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom residential accommodations and penthouses in both towers. All rooms and suites face the ocean, providing guests with an unparalleled view of the Pacific, and include kitchens with premium appliances along with in-residence washers and dryers, ideal for the global traveller who seeks the conveniences of a home combined with the luxuries of a hotel. With a combined 246 suites in both towers, the resort boasts the largest number of luxury hotel suites on the island.

Newly designed ocean-view spaces
Guests staying at the resort can discover a vast array of distinctive experiences along with legendary Ritz-Carlton service. New Diamond Head Tower facilities include an expanded spa with four treatments rooms and relaxation lounge, and also a 270-square-metre infinity pool with private cabanas equipped with SMART televisions, refrigerators and day beds. The new infinity pool complements the ‘Ewa Tower infinity pool, which will be reserved for those looking for quiet serenity. The resort will be the only hotel in Waikiki with two infinity pools, both of which are the highest in the area located on the 7th and 8th floors.

The Diamond Head Tower will also introduce 10 meeting and event spaces, which include a boardroom, movie theatre, The Horizon Terrace and Lanai, and the 2,040-square-metre Lau’ula Park which can host a reception for up to 800 guests. The resort’s ground level promenade also features two stages for community performances and nearly one hectare of lush greenery and landscaping that encompass the property. In early 2019, the resort will also debut a new dining venue located at the Diamond Head Tower pool deck, along with a gourmet market located on the ground level which will be a new ‘Island Country Market’ concept.
