Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has appointed Ms Suladda Sarutilavan as the Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand Sydney Office, effective August 1st, 2018, responsible for Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Sarutilavan has been working with TAT for the last 20 years, some of her outstanding performance include in 2011 – 2014 as Assistant Director of TAT Mumbai Office and in 2015-2018 as Director of TAT Pattaya Office.

“According to the Thailand Tourism Ministry data, in 2016 and 2017 Australian visitors were among the top 10 biggest spenders in terms of per capita daily expenditure with the average length of stay of almost 14 days,” Sarutilavan commented at the time of her appointment.

“Phuket, Samui, Bangkok and Chiang Mai have always been the most popular destinations among Australian visitors for the last decade. While we would like to maintain that, we would also like to encourage visitors to travel beyond the popular destinations so they can experience the unique Thai way of life as well as help generate income to the local communities. Some of the destinations we would like to promote this year include Trat and Chiang Rai.”

“I’m looking forward to be working closely with trade partners and media in this region to make sure Thailand remains one of the top overseas destinations in this market,” Sarutilavan added.
