Sol Spa, a blissful spa escape within Vaucluse’s new food and lifestyle destination, The Botanica, has opened in Sydney. Sitting adjacent to the recently launched farm-to-fork restaurant, The Botanica Vaucluse, Sol Spa offers the ideal place to relax and unwind among a lush fragrant oasis inspired by wellness, nature and health.

After a wander through the surrounding gardens, guests enter the spa where the scent of lemongrass perfumes the air. Ancient relics, luscious plants and comforting throws accent the stunning space designed by Evette Moran Interiors, while heavenly spa treatments by therapists reenergise the mind, body and soul.

Guests will be greeted with a cup of organic herbal tea on arrival before being guided through treatments available in the relaxation lounge, ensuring a customised experience that is suited to each individual. The highly trained therapists have been carefully chosen for their diverse range of expertise and knowledge.

Sol Spa’s extensive treatment menu includes signature massages, facials, body treatments, body scrubs and a range of holistic and traditional therapies to heal the body, including the Chi Nei Tsang, a Chinese healing touch therapy focusing on abdominal massage, and the Shirodhara treatment, where warm oil is gently poured on the third eye to aid in deep relaxation. The space makes their own aromatherapy oils using an organic almond-based oil mixed with pure essential oils such as lemongrass, lavender and geranium, which they use alongside spices and herbs to revitalise and detoxify guests.

The stars of the spa menu are the two-hour packages, perfect for those who are wanting complete body pampering. The two-hour ‘Indulgence Package’ allows guests to unwind into deep relaxation with a tip-to-toe treatment including a customised massage tailored to your individual needs, a facial treatment to deeply nourish the skin, and the ‘Absolute Pamper Package’ which begins with a dry body brush followed by nourishing coconut scrub to rehydrate the skin, a steam shower, full body massage to relieve tension, pressure-point facial massage, and blissful scalp massage to finish.

Guests can dine in the lush spa courtyard with a delicious Sol Spa Bento Box (only available with certain packages) designed by The Botanica Vaucluse’s Executive Chef, Perry Hill. The Bento Boxes come full of fresh, organic, farm to fork ingredients that change with the seasons, and some of which come directly from the kitchen garden at The Botanica Vaucluse. Think pickled globe artichoke and chickpea fritters; buffalo mozzarella with snow peas, capers and lemon; crisp-fried Red Gate Farm quail with kale and sunflower seeds; and roast heirloom carrots with hummus, blood lime, macadamia nuts and feta.

Guests can also enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner after their treatment at The Botanica Vaucluse, a relaxed dining restaurant nestled among fragrant herbs, citrus trees and strawberry bushes that has a philosophy centred around a commitment to local growers and wholesome, seasonal ingredients. Executive Chef Perry Hill sources much of his produce from the kitchen garden or The Botanica’s own Jamberoo Valley Farm which inspires the not only the restaurant dishes, but the house-made gin and the whimsical copper archway by Charlie Albone, cascading with hanging succulents at the entrance.

Sol Spa is open Tuesday–Saturday, between 10am and 6pm.
