Express Travel Group (ETG) has announced the roll out of Express Pay, an online merchant card service platform which enables a travel retailer to charge client credit cards for services transacted on their behalf.
Locally developed by a reputable financial services technology group, Express Pay is built on solid architecture, is PCI-compliant and linked to First Data and NAB.
The main feature of Express Pay is that it is an approved merchant service provider for the AFTA Chargeback Scheme (ACS), therefore payments made within Express Pay are automatically ACS enabled. Travel Agents also have the option of incorporating the B2C version of Express Pay onto their own websites for clients to make payments 24/7.
“Providing an opportunity for our members to be at the forefront of payments technology is significant for ETG and enabling ACS within this deployment, even more so,” commented Ari Magoutis, Executive GM of Express Travel Group.
“I congratulate ETG for embracing the benefits that the ACS scheme provides to travel agents and for including this into their new Express Pay product. This is a true industry first and I am sure all the members of ETG will enjoy the benefits that innovation of this kind brings them,” said AFTA Chief Executive, Jayson Westbury.
Express Pay is available to all members of ETG and complements the Book Safe Agent™ suite of agency insurances available exclusively to the Select Travel Group, Independent Travel Group and italktravel franchise network. The Book Safe Agent Insurance Product has been designed to protect both the travel agent and the client from a variety of risks, errors and uncertainties frontline sellers encounter on a daily basis.
