The Ruby Apartmentsthe first tower of the billion-dollar Ruby Collection project, was opened by Gold Coast Mayor, the Honourable Tom Tate this week.

Featuring 230 apartments and 13 ground floor villas, the 30-storey Ruby Apartments is the first of four towers in the development and combines family appeal, five-star facilities and cutting-edge features.

Developed by Sydney-based Ralan Group and spearheaded by Managing Director, William O’Dwyer, the tower epitomises Gold Coast hospitality offering a new level in service and amenities that will knit together the northern Surfers Paradise precinct.

“We see our development as an additional elevation of the ‘Australia’s Playground’ moniker that Surfers Paradise already enjoys,’ said O’Dwyer. “We don’t do ordinary – by tagline and promise – and we are thrilled to be able to launch our shining gem to the market.”

Creating hundreds of jobs and injecting substantial economic benefits to the region, the 2.5-hectare Ruby Development is poised to offer much more than an enticing leisure opportunity.

“We expect the remaining three towers to take around five years to complete offering more than 1,600 stunning, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with over 2,990 bedrooms, making our development the largest independent accommodation provider in Queensland.”

The property says it has enjoyed strong bookings since February, with over 95% occupancy expected over the Christmas period.

Ruby Collection CEO, David Brook, believes it is the legacy of the running of the quintessential family offering – Paradise Resort – that has driven such strong belief in the Ruby brand, even prior to opening.

“We have purposefully kept key elements of the family experience that Paradise Resort was renowned for over its 38-year history,” explained David.

“The new Ruby Apartments will provide the best of both worlds with brand-new, state-of-the-art apartments that offer convenience, incredible views, proximity to activities, its own waterpark and more.”

The stylish one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and sky suites provide a bird’s-eye view of the Pacific Ocean or Gold Coast Hinterland and cater to the modern family with spacious living areas, full kitchen and laundry suitable for families of up to eight to come together and enjoy all the comforts of home.

“Ultimately, we set out with a vision to create a genuine, quality family-friendly holiday experience that provides entertainment, activities and facilities synonymous with the expectations of the Gold Coast,” said Brook.

“We believe we have achieved this in the Ruby Apartments and with our forecasted bookings and guest feedback this week, the future seems rosy.”
