As the finale event, Sydney was the strongest of the three shows yet at Visit USA’s Expo Week that wrapped up on Wednesday night, with over 350 agents filling the Hilton Sydney’s ballroom.
Once again entertained by Hollywood celebrity and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here-winner Richard Reid, it was a memorable night for agents as they were presented with all the latest tourism offerings by US suppliers, with many winning trips to the USA.
Commenting on the shows, Visit USA President Lucy Rowe said: “Expo Week is the biggest event we coordinate in Australia for our members, and we’re thrilled with the support and interest provided by travel agents to come and meet our international guests.
“Each year our travel agent numbers increase for show attendance and this year our Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne shows sold out. There is still an opportunity to mingle with our USA members, though, as the shows now move into regional and west-coast Australia visiting Perth, Adelaide, Townsville, Cairns, Hobart and Newcastle throughout March, April and May,” Rowe said.
