Qatar Airways has announced a range of upgrades to the customer experience on the Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide route. The Doha-based airline will introduce the new state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000 once daily on its Canberra–Sydney–Doha route, effective 27 October 2019. The afternoon A350-1000 flight (from Canberra/Sydney) will complement Qatar Airways’ existing A380 evening service between Sydney and Doha.

In addition, passengers travelling on the Adelaide route from 16 August will be able to experience the airline’s patented Qsuite Business Class seat on board the Airbus A350-900.

Qatar Airways’ Senior Manager for Australasia,  Adam Radwanski, said: “We are delighted to launch the Airbus A350-1000 equipped with QSuite on our Canberra–Sydney–Doha route from 27 October onwards. The A350-1000 is our newest and most advanced aircraft and we are confident that the product we are bringing to these markets will take the customer experience to new heights.

“The introduction of the Qsuite Business Class experience to passengers travelling from Adelaide is further evidence of Qatar Airways’ ongoing commitment to providing our Australian passengers with the best experience and greatest choice.”

Last year, the national carrier of the State of Qatar was the global launch customer of the world’s very first Airbus A350-1000, an aircraft known for its fuel efficiency and technology along with wider seats in both Business and Economy classes, the lowest twin-engine noise level of any aircraft, advanced air-conditioning technology and full LED lighting.

Qsuite, a patented Qatar Airways product, features the industry’s first-ever double bed in Business Class. It also features privacy panels that stow away, allowing passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private room – a first of its kind in the industry.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways is offering members of its frequent flyer program, Privilege Club, the opportunity to boost their Qmiles for new bookings made between now and 31 March 2019, when flying before 31 May 2019.

Travellers will receive five times the usual Qmiles points when flying in Qatar Airways First or Business Class cabin. There will also be four times the standard amount of bonus Qmiles offered to passengers travelling in Qatar Airways Economy Class cabin.

Travellers will also be able to boost their Qmiles throughout the period of 1 April–31 May 2019 by receiving three times the standard Qmiles for First and Business Class, and twice as many Qmiles for Economy passengers.

For members of Qatar Airways Privilege Club to be eligible for this special offer, they must register through their member profile by either 31 May 2019 or 24 hours prior to their departure.
