Australia has been shortlisted by luxury travel designer community, Traveller Made, as one of five nominees in its annual Luxury Travel Industry Awards for the Most Desired Preferred Destination for 2019. Also vying for the title this year is Andalucia, Japan, New Zealand and Tokyo.

The Most Desired Preferred Destination is one of 17 awards that will be announced at Traveller Made’s Award Ceremony. The event will be held in Marbella, Spain on Monday 25 March as part of the Essence of Luxury Travel show.

Traveller Made Member Agencies have already voted for Hotel, DMC Partners and one Preferred Destination that have delivered outstanding services to Member Agents and their clients.

In late 2018, Tourism Australia forged a partnership with Traveller Made as a Preferred Destination.

At the time, Traveller Made Founder and President Quentin Desurmont said: “In the five years since Traveller Made’s inception, we have developed great partnerships with the best creators of luxury travel and hospitality in Australia. Partnering with Tourism Australia will help our entire community of expert travel designers focus more on this gem of a destination by bringing them more in-depth knowledge and reasons to promote very specific and hidden adventures.”
