Travel Associates’ Western Australia offices showcased the world of luxury cruising to valued clients last week at the Perth Convention Centre.
Recognising the continued popularity of cruising to the Australian market, the event was a great example of the brand’s high-touch and premium style of client engagement, and a productive way to present eight of the world’s leading premium cruise lines.
According to CLIA, Australia is the fifth most important world cruise market, and cruising clients are now spoilt for choice with exceptional five-star cruise brands regularly departing Australia. Cruise partners in attendance at the WA showcase event included luxury operators APT, Azamara, Lindblad Expeditions, Oceania, Seabourn, Silversea, Viking and Windstar.
“We design our luxury cruise showcases to inspire and inform our clients in a relaxed setting, and the result was some excellent feedback from our guests, with one saying they felt like they were already on a cruise,” said Regional General Manager of Travel Associates, Western Australia and South Australia, Andrew Boyce.
“We will continue to hold these events for our valued clients across the country. We’ve recently held a series of cooking classes, long table lunches and walking tours, which have been incredibly well-received, and we ensure that our clients are always hosted by their trusted travel advisor. Guests to the Perth Luxury Cruise Showcase were welcomed by a string quartet, drinks and canapés before industry partners presented the opportunities and features of their luxury cruise products.
A friend of Lynette, lucky winner of the event’s $2,000 Silversea cruise credit prize, said: “She never wins anything and had a tear in her eye when she was accepting the prize.”
Travel Associates’ next Luxury Cruise Showcase will be hosted in Adelaide on 27 March at The Pullman Hotel. Guests are invited to come along and discover the very best in ocean, river and expedition cruising. East Coast events will be next on the program.
