Adventure travel company Explore has rolled out its first Family brochure to the Australian market, encouraging kids and families to carry on learning through the school holidays.

Explore’s small-group holidays are designed specifically for Australian families, with suitable dates during school holidays and hassle-free trips with a pace to suit every family member. Kid-friendly hotels, complimentary transfers and experienced guides also take away the hassle from parents wanting to enjoy their holiday too.

A major highlight includes Explore’s ability to match kids on trips of the same age, ensuring children can make friends and share experiences with other families. Explore’s family group holidays are a maximum of two families, ensuring guests are paired with like-minded travellers.

With Explore’s range of 11 family trips around the world, kids can learn first-hand about volcanoes and rainforests in Costa Rica, practise their modern languages in Italy and immerse themselves in history by exploring the pyramids and tombs in Ancient Egypt, kids have the chance to expand their school curriculum and enjoy an exciting adventure at the same time.

Geography

For families looking for an introduction to India, Explore’s 9-day Taj, Tigers and Palaces itinerary covers the areas of Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Pachewar and Ranthambore National Park. Families will also visit a hilltop fortress, with the opportunity to stay in a village on the desert plains of Rajasthan.

Science & Zoology

Explore’s nine-day Family Highlights of Sri Lanka itinerary is the perfect length for a getaway during half term and kids will be able to brush up on their animal knowledge with a day in Wilpattu National Park in search of Asian elephants, leopards, sloth bears, spotted deer, buffalo, sambar and mongoose. With short-driving distances, there’s no chance of the children getting bored, especially with activities such as white-water rafting in Kitulgala, the adventure capital of Sri Lanka.

Modern Languages

Children can experience the culture by visiting a traditional Zulu village or spot wildlife including elephant, giraffe, lion, leopard or white rhinoceros.

Explore’s 11-day Land of the Orangutan is an action-packed adventure, that’ll see kids stay in a jungle lodge and cruise the river to see proboscis monkeys.
