A happy group of Botanica World Discoveries’ guests have recently returned from a 12-day small-ship cruise of Japan, delighted to have seen the cherry blossom as it hit peak bloom.
Botanical Guide, Simon Rickard, said this year’s guests were treated to a magnificent display of the delicate blossom which blooms for around two short weeks each year, usually starting in the south of the country, around the end of March.
He suggests garden-loving travellers who would like to see the cherry blossom with him next year book quickly as cabins on Botanica’s two Japan Small Ship spring cruises are selling fast. Next year’s Cherry Blossom Cruise departs on 28 March 2020 and is carefully timed to coincide with this delightful natural phenomena.
