Railbookers is offering a unique new Around the World by Rail holiday, encompassing USA, Europe, Russia, Mongolia, China and Australia.
Dubbed a “once-in-a-lifetime journey”, the 57-day adventure covers four continents, 15 countries, more than 20 cities and four U.S. national parks that include some of the greatest train journeys.
“For many travellers, it takes a lifetime to experience a journey like this one. But when they join Railbookers, all it takes is a single train holiday,” said John Vavrina, Vice President of Sales for Railbookers. “It is undoubtedly the ultimate bucket list trip to some of the great wonders of the world. We’ve all seen around the world by private jet and cruise ship, but to truly capture the essence of a destination and its diverse landscapes, nothing beats travelling by rail.”

Travellers will venture from Chicago to Central Park in New York; the Buckingham Palace in London; and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Guests will experience the lakeside sophistication of Geneva, the Colosseum and Vatican City in Rome, the labyrinth of canals in Venice and Austria’s Imperial palaces.
Guests will see the medieval Astronomical Clock in Prague, stroll the 17th-century Nyhavn canal and harbour in Copenhagen, visit Moscow’s symbolic Red Square, travel onboard the legendary Trans-Siberian Railway to Ulaanbaatar and tour the Great Wall and Summer Palace in Beijing.

In Xi’an and Hong Kong, travellers will visit the famed Terracotta Warriors. Once they reach Perth, Australia, guests will board the Indian Pacific Train for a time-zone-hurdling, ocean-to-ocean adventure to Sydney. Back on U.S. soil, travellers will board Amtrak’s celebrated Southwest Chief and California Zephyr trains to journey to the awe-inspiring South Rim of the Grand Canyon, as well as Zion, Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks.
Starting at AU$21,059 per person land-only, the package includes sightseeing tours, skip the line access to several landmarks, walking tours, and daily breakfast, amounting to about AU$380 per day. Included in the price is 42 nights’ hotel accommodation, 1 night aboard a ferry, 5 nights’ onboard overnight train journeys, 3 nights on the Indian Pacific and 3 nights on board Amtrak.

The trip is curated to begin and end in Chicago but travellers can customise any portion of the itinerary. Flights are not included from New York City to London; Hong Kong to Perth; or Sydney to Los Angeles.
