Australia’s landmark private island resort is preparing to usher in a new era of discovery on the Great Barrier Reef. Opening 1 July, InterContinental Hayman Island Resort will immerse guests in a world of natural beauty, island experiences and sacred moments of connection with family and friends.
Tucked away at the northernmost point of the stunning Whitsundays, this private retreat redefines island living with 166 beautifully appointed rooms, suites and villas, all intertwined with spectacular pools, panoramic seascapes and tropical gardens. From the moment guests’ feet hit the sand, they will discover unforgettable experiences, where exploring the world-famous Heart Reef by air, the turquoise swirls of Whitehaven Beach by boat or remote rainforest mountains by foot is just the beginning.
Three Bedroom Hayman Beach House
A number of new suite categories have been added to the hotel’s collection, making them some of Australia’s most opulent accommodation options. The Three Bedroom Hayman Beach House is perched on the beachfront with unobstructed views of the Coral Sea. An entirely new addition to the resort, the beach house enjoys modern design-led interiors with a light-drenched open-living plan that includes a private dining and living room, an outdoor alfresco entertainment area and three swimming pools, including one infinity pool.
Located on the Hayman hillside, a collection of private residences are available for those looking for added seclusion and privacy on their holiday. Each double-storey residence hosts four bedrooms with ensuites, dining room, entertainment areas, fully equipped kitchens and infinity pools with views over the Whitsundays.
Private dining experiences
Designed by Executive Chef Erwin Joven, guests are invited to indulge in the ‘Under the Stars’ à la carte menu or a secluded gourmet picnic at one of many idyllic locations on and around the island, such as Hayman Beach, Blue Pearl Bay and Hayman Pool’s cabanas.
