Emperor Cruises operates a range of overnight sailing experiences in Bai Tu Long Bay on board its small ship, aptly named Ha Long. Options include a two-day Emperor Experience, three-day Emperor Hideaway, as well as four- and five- day Experience Hanoi & Halong Bay cruises. The company also offers day cruises in Nha Trang Bay. It promotes itself as the first operator of ‘five-star experiential travel in Nha Trang Bay’.
The custom-designed, traditional imperial cruise ship has three decks that house two restaurants, two bars, a small library, a gym, two massage rooms and eight luxurious en-suite cabins with private balconies. Ha Long can accommodate up to 24 passengers, with each suite able to have an extra bed added.
Cruises provide guests with butler service “on a traditional Vietnamese ship where royal glamour, history and heritage provide the right blend of service, luxury, unique travel experience and quiet efficiency,” the Emperor Cruises’ website says.
Lux Group’s President Pham Ha previously owned a 50% share in Emperor Cruises and has acquired the remaining stake to gain full ownership of the business. Financial details of the purchase have not been released.
Ha said the company “will expand its portfolio of luxury small ship and expedition cruises to new cruising destinations” following the acquisition.
“An award-wining Emperor Cruises stylish brand with traditional sails combines exceptional itineraries with an all-inclusive concept, luxury services and fine cuisine to create memorable experiences at sea. Five new cruise ships will be added in Nha Trang Bay and Phu Quoc Island and overnight cruises will be introduced for the first time in these amazing beach and island destinations,” Ha said.
