Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd has appointed travel industry veterans, Gillian Seller and Trevor Thwaites as part of its burgeoning Australia and New Zealand Executive Team.
Seller and Thwaites both joined the company in September. Seller has been appointed to the newly created role of Director of Sales, Australia and New Zealand at Regent Seven Seas Cruises, where she will report to Lisa Pile, Vice President, General Manager Australia and New Zealand at RSSC. Thwaites has been appointed to the newly created role of Director of Sales, Australia and New Zealand at Oceania Cruises, reporting to Jason Worth, Vice President, GM Australia and New Zealand at Oceania Cruises.
Seller brings over 30 years experience in the luxury hotel and travel industry to the table, and in her new role will steer the Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ team of regional BDM’s and act as key contact for the brand’s network of travel partners. She previously worked for Accor, where she was Director of Luxury Sales for the Pacific region.
Thwaites brings with him over a decade of sales experience – including over 10 years in the cruise industry – and similarly to Seller, will be working in close collaboration with Oceania Cruises’ team of regional BDM’s and valued travel partners to drive future growth. Previously, Thwaites worked at Princess Cruises in the capacity as National Sales Manager.
“We’re delighted to welcome both Gillian and Trevor to the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings team at such an exciting time for the company,” said Steve Odell, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
“With 2019 already proving to be our strongest year yet, these new appointments will ensure that we can meet the increasing demand head on. 2020 is going to be a monumental year for NCLH – with 11 of our ships sailing in the APAC region – so we are excited to have Gillian and Trevor join us during a time where we are seeing such exceptional growth both locally and on the international stage,” he added.
Seller said she was “thrilled” to be joining Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
“I’m looking forward to applying my years of luxury travel experience to my new role, where I’ll be working closely with both my colleagues and our Australian and New Zealand travel partners,” she said.
Thwaites said: “I am delighted to be appointed to this new role with Oceania Cruises during a growth period for the brand – with its OceaniaNEXT initiative well underway. I’m looking forward to meeting with our valued trade partners and working alongside our well-established team on this award-winning boutique product.”
