Advisors dine with Sri Lankan Tourism executives in Colombo

The Bunnik Group leads first ever mega-famil through Sri Lanka

On Saturday 12 October the Sri Lankan Tourism Promotion Bureau joined 45 top selling agents from Australia for the farewell dinner at the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo. It was the first ever Sri Lankan mega famil hosted by award-winning leading small group tour specialist, The Bunnik Group.

Led by Dennis and Marion Bunnik, the 10-day trip explored the fascinating culture, history, culinary scene and lush landscapes of Sri Lanka – recently announced as Lonely Planet’s top-ranked country for travel.

“Tourism is an incredible force for good when done properly,” said Joint CEO Dennis Bunnik.

“We’ve been helping Australians explore Sri Lanka for 15 years and have a long and close connection with this beautiful destination. As part of the worldwide travel industry I believe it is our role to counteract the insidious trend of spreading fear and doubt. Australians are some of the world’s most avid travellers.

“By continuing to travel and explore we build bridges, not walls, creating understanding between cultures and generating economic and social benefits in the places we visit. That’s a good thing and something we’re really proud to be a part of.”
