The 2020 dates that Sir Richard Branson’s private island, Necker Island, will be available to guests to stay on a per-room basis, rather than the entire resort on an exclusive-use basis, have been revealed.
Dubbed ‘Celebration Weeks’, Necker Island will open up ‘hotel-style’ for guests who want to experience the private island hideaway of the Virgin Group founder, nestled in the British Virgin Islands.

The first available Celebration Week for 2020 is from 3-6 January 2020 for a six-night stay. There are then multiple seven-night stays available in September and October: two designated for adutls only and two for families.
- 19 – 25 September 2020 (adults only)
- 26 September – 3 October 2020 (adults only)
- 17 – 23 October 2020 (family weeks)
- 24 – 30 October 2020 (family weeks)
For the first time, next year will also see the island become available for small group bookings. From June 2020, small groups of between 8-15 will be able to book the island on a shared non-exclusive basis with rates starting from US$5,000 per room, per night.
Guests visiting in 2020 will be among the first to see the fully completed Necker Island, following more than two years of reconstruction after Hurricane Irma. The newly renovated Bali Hi complex has been restored to its former glory with the addition of private plunge pools and will be open from April 2020.

Rates per couple during a ‘Celebration Week’ start from US$5,000 per room per night.
There is also a bunkroom in the Great House that sleeps up to six children, additional rates from US$3,500 per night.
