Sydney-based sales contact Lea Seguier and Finnair co-hosted a group of Australian travel advisor partners on an France and Geneva trip in November, in cooperation with Eurail.
The itinerary was designed to showcase Lea Seguier’s portfolio which includes luxury hospitality group La Reserve hotels (Paris, Bordeaux, Ramatuelle, Geneva and next opening Zurich) and family-owned Domaine des Etangs (11th-century Chateau reconverted into a luxury five-star hotel) and Finnair which is the flag carrier and largest airline of Finland. Finnair provided round-trip business-class seats for the group, as well as valuing the combination of air and rail with the First Class train passes supplied by Eurail.
The familiarisation gave attendees a firsthand taste of La Reserve’s luxury level with two nights in La Reserve’s recent opening in Bordeaux, a two-night stay at La Reserve Paris recently named number-one hotel in the city of lights, followed by two nights at La Reserve Geneva.
The group’s itinerary included a bike tour around Bordeaux’s vineyard, discovering Michel Reybier’s (owner if La Reserve group) wine estate in the region, but also lunch in his private residence, an eight-bedroom mansion available for guests to take over as their own (two hours from Paris).
The trip also included the discovery of the Domaine des Etangs, where advisors enjoyed massages, Michelin-starred dining and 1,000 hectares of protected nature only two hours from Paris.
Discovering the towns, electric bike tours, a behind-the-scenes private tour of Roger Dubuis watchmaker or private shopping tours, were some of the highlights and activities on offer, most of which were organised by Manuel de Croutte’s local DMC, Exclusive & Private, during the educational.
Upon their return home, Finnair’s AVP for Asia and Oceania, Jonne Lehtioksa, General Manager APAC Tamas Hanyiand and Head of Travel Product, Anssi Partanen, opened the doors of the Finnair’s HQ in Helsinki at a welcome reception.
Visit Finland, Helsinki Marketing, Arctic Signatures and Kämp Hotel group organised a short layover program for the group so that they experience what Helsinki and Finland has to offer for luxury stopovers.
