New Caledonia Tourism brought a taste of island life to So Frenchy So Chic in Melbourne this past weekend, hosting a pop-up hammock relaxation lounge in the Werribee Park grounds influenced by the destination.
A proud sponsor of French music festival, So Frenchy So Chic, for the third consecutive year New Caledonia Tourism hosted event guests, travel agent partners and MICE industry professionals in its Hamac Salon, which featured hammocks and hand massages to relax, all set to a soundtrack inspired by the South Pacific destination.

Less than three hours’ flight from Sydney, New Caledonia is a unique South Pacific destination, offering, as a territory of France, French touches combined with local Kanak culture, an array of experiences and beautiful natural landscapes to explore. So Frenchy So Chic is one of many Francophile events New Caledonia Tourism participates in each year, celebrating the destination’s French influences.
Sydneysiders will have the opportunity to enjoy New Caledonia’s Hamac Salon at So Frenchy So Chic Sydney, held on Saturday 18 January from 1pm at Bicentennial Park, Glebe.
