Acclaimed chef, author and television personality Luke Nguyen once again joins APT to share his culinary knowledge with guests, this time to experience the wilderness of the Kimberley.
Following on from his highly successful cruises on the waterways of Asia, Nguyen now joins APT to explore the remote beauty of the Kimberley by small ship and 4WD.
He brings his characteristic charm and his cooking influences to the far northwest on Luke Nguyen’s Kimberley Coastal Express & Bungles Extension tour, a unique 13-day exploration which includes highlights such as an eight-night cruise on the MS Island Sky and two nights at APT’s exclusive Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge.
Departing on 27 June, guests will share Nguyen-inspired meals with the man himself as he hosts the dining experiences – including a special three-course feast at the wilderness lodge – and together they will savour dishes he has influenced throughout the journey.
Operating as a round trip from Kununurra, soon to be served by new direct flights from Melbourne, there are both 13-day and nine-day options. Cruise highlights include travelling by Zodiac to the edge of the 80-metre King George Falls, viewing the astonishing sight of Montgomery Reef emerging from the sea as the tide recedes, and heading by fast boat through the spectacle of the Horizontal Falls.
There is also an optional helicopter flight over Mitchell Falls for a unique view of the spectacular landscape. The trip’s land component features a detailed exploration of Purnululu National Park and the iconic Bungle Bungle Range.
