McLachlan Tours briefs agents over breakfast in Sydney’s CBD

Mat McLachlan and Ray Martin both attended the informative event

McLachlan Tours (Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours and McLachlan European Holidays) invited numerous travel industry members – including LATTE – to a breakfast briefing this week at Jardin St James in the heart of Sydney.

Mat McLachlan himself was in attendance, as well as Australian entertainment personality and journalist Ray Martin – who is leading a tour this year.

McLachlan took the stage to welcome everyone to the event, joking about “how a skinny kid from the bush ending up spending his days walking among battlefields”, before passing the microphone over to the business development manager of Hauts-de-France Tourism, who gave an overview of the sightseeing available in France beyond the battlefields.

At the end of the briefing, Martin and McLachlan participated in short Q&A, in which Martin said that his favourite thing about these tours is “The stories of individuals… it’s not about figures, it’s about human beings.”

McLachlan agreed, stating “It’s not about strategy and politics; it’s about walking in the footsteps of Australians who have real stories to tell.”

Currently, travel agents who book two McLachlan holidays for one passenger by 30 April 2020 will receive 10% off the second tour.
