Island Destinations recognises its elite Australian partners

ID announces extra commission incentive and bushfire relief donation

ID (Island Destinations) recently hosted its sixth annual roadshow Down Under, commencing in Brisbane and visiting Melbourne and Sydney. This year the luxury tour operator is celebrating its 36th year in business and used the showcase to preview its 2020 Travelers Collection Brochure, a curated collection of top properties across Southeast Asia, Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Fiji, Caribbean, Mexico and more.

More than 10 luxury hotels brands participated at this year’s showcase, along with one new tour addition, Euro Asia Travels – Sri Lanka, an ID Destination Management Company. The DMC, operating under the ID Travel Group umbrella, will now be able to offer over 45 years of creditable expertise and on-the-ground support for ID’s discerning clientele embarking on Sri Lankan itineraries.

Island Destinations’ Associate Director for Asia Pacific, Singapore-based Katie Hawkins, was on hand to meet with the group’s loyal travel partners in Australia, who continue to support the 400-odd luxury hotels that make up the collection.

New York-based Laurie Palumbo, Chief Operating Officer at ID, describes the trip to Australia as her favourite start to the year.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to recognise our most valuable partners, many of which have been supporters since our launch to Australia in 2011, while also meeting new faces to ID. It gives me great insight to the market, and I always leave inspired by conservations with these brilliant minds,” Palumbo remarked.

Other exciting news announced was an extra commission campaign along with a charitable push for those in need:

Extra Commission for all ID Travel advisors
For all New Maldives, Seychelles and Mauritius bookings, travel advisors will receive 16% commission from now through 16 March, 2020. For a full listing of hotels in these destinations, see idtravelgroup.com

Also, to show support for friends and colleagues who have been affected by the Australian bushfires, ID announced that they will be making a donation on every booking.

Every Booking Helps
