Adventure World Travel goes ‘WILD’ with VIP advisors

First Australian invite-only event kicks off 2020 showcase

Adventure World Travel hosted the first of six exclusive events at The Mint in Sydney to present its ‘WILD Showcase’ on Tuesday 10 March, 2020.

Attendees were treated to an evening of vegetarian cuisine, flowing premium wines and insider knowledge of the ultimate wildlife experiences from across the globe, highlighting their wildlife tailored itineraries and top tips on how to become, and encourage their clients to become conscious travellers.

After a champagne reception in the courtyard, which included a roaming lion on stilts, guests moved to take their seats in the Gold Melting room for the presentations and two course dinner.

Commencing the evening, Neil Rodgers, Managing Director of Adventure World Travel said, “What’s important to know is that all of Adventure World Travel’s wildlife itineraries are observation only. We work closely with World Animal Protection to ensure you can be confident in offering your clients travel with a supplier that protects these animals and habitats. Every trip is handpicked by our team, which goes a long way, especially with wildlife.”

Representatives from Adventure World Travel’s partner brands Explore and Lindblad-Expeditions, as well as tourism board Destination Canada, were also present to share their insights into their brands wildlife experiences. Nathan McLoughlin from Destination Canada took part in a Q&A discussion, while Cherie Bowman, from Lindblad-Expeditions highlighted the importance of sustainable travel and wildlife conservation, in destinations such as the Galapagos and Explore’s Ben Ittensohn spoke on their popular wildlife journeys.

Adventure World Travel highlighted a few of the incredible wildlife initiatives the brand works with to ensure their travellers make a positive impact on the destinations they visit and the wildlife inhabiting these destinations. Rodgers was thrilled to announce Adventure World Travel’s new three year partnership with the Borneo Orangutan Wildlife Foundation, where every new booking to Borneo will provide a one-year adoption of an orangutan from the sanctuary.

As the evening concluded, Rodgers asked agents to complete a form and sign the TreadRight Foundation pledge. This form gave the attendees the opportunity to select one of four projects – Wildlife SOS, Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, Wilderness Foundation Africa or Proyecto Titi South America. Adventure World Travel will donate $250 to their chosen project on their behalf. Agents were notably touched by the gesture and appreciated the chance to personally support one of these chosen ethical wildlife organisations.

The invite-only Sydney showcase launched a total of six events taking place across Australia over the coming week, following three successful events in New Zealand last week.
