Reed Exhibitions has confirmed the postponement of the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai for 2020. Originally delayed from its 19-22 April 2020 time-slot to a new late-June/early-July date due to the coronavirus pandemic, organisers have since also evaluated rescheduling the annual show to the last quarter of the year. However, the “changing global situation” has now seen Reed scrap this year’s physical show altogether.
“After consultation with our key stakeholders and after listening to our industry, ultimately it became apparent that the best course of action, and with everyone’s best interests in mind, is to postpone the event to 2021,” Reed Exhibitions said.
“Decisions like this are never taken lightly. Discussions took place at the highest level both internally and externally with the local and federal government, partners, sponsors, exhibitors and attendees who all endorsed our evaluation of the current situation and our decision to act once again, without delay.”
The next Arabian Travel Market will now be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 16 to 19 May 2021.
In the meantime, a virtual version of ATM will be hosted online in June. ATM Virtual Event will run from 1 to 3 June 2020, offering webinars, live conference sessions, speed networking events, 1-2-1 meetings and more in order to “keep the conversations going and delivering new connections and business opportunities online”.
