Reservations are now being accepted at The Londoner Hotel, billed as the “world’s first super boutique” hotel, for arrivals starting early September 2020.
Located in Leicester Square, the new-build 350-room Edwardian Hotels London property is taking bookings online from 7 September 2020, priced from £545 per night in a Superior Room.
The Londoner Hotel was originally expected to launch in June 2020.
Edwardian Hotels London said it has been monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak closely for several weeks.
“After carefully considering all of the recommendations and proactive measures in line with the UK Government and World Health Organisation, we have come to the conclusion that the responsible course of action would be to postpone our June launch until late 2020.
“This is an unprecedented time for all, and we are deeply disappointed that we have had to make this decision after all of the hard work and dedication from our partners to date. However, we know that this is absolutely the right thing to do to protect the safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees,” the hotelier said.
The Londoner Hotel is a 16-storey structure that will offer six eateries and bars, but what makes is so unique is that only eight of those levels are above ground.
The subterranean levels accommodate a 864-guest ballroom, meeting spaces, a spa, swimming pool and gym, hair and nail salon, barbershop and two private screening rooms.
In addition to Superior Rooms, the hotel features Deluxe Rooms, Deluxe City View Rooms, Junior Suite, Corner Suite and the 86-square-metre London Skyline Suite. The latter suite is priced from £1,999 per night.
The hotel is also a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts Legend Collection.
