A new generation corporate membership group, dubbed Alatus Corporate, has been launched by Express Travel Group (ETG) CEO, Tom Manwaring.
Announced in a press release to trade media, Atlatus Corporate will begin operation on 1 July 2020.
Alatus offers a solution for a collective of independent travel management companies (TMCs) to join a unified buying group. The group is positioned to accelerate long-term growth for members and meet the numerous futuristic challenges of the corporate travel landscape.
ETG said the Alatus model is providing TMCs across Australia access to the platform, partnerships and technological innovation to succeed at the highest level.

“The group prioritises transcending digital divides in the Travel Management sector and building tomorrow’s technological enhancements equipping members to elevate their service delivery,” the release stated.
“Whilst the current business climate is challenging for all of us, it’s more important than ever to be aligned with flexible, creative, forward-thinking partners to navigate the way forward in our industry,” Manwaring said.
The Alatus Board and Member values of integrity, initiative, performance and sustainability will be paramount.
Manwaring said over 12 months of planning and research had been invested in the new business arm, including learnings from Corporate Australia and the ETG majority investment of the membership-based First Travel Group New Zealand.
“Member direct involvement will drive the business strategy, preferred supplier choice, technology development, shared services unit and new membership. Members will also have full transparency over preferred partnerships and reporting of override commissions,” ETG said.
Alatus will be backed by ETG’s full-service ticketing, marketing, sales technology and payment support company which will provide advanced transaction services via Express Ticketing, including the new NDC ticketing and ancillary platform.
“We look to include Alatus in financial year supplier contract negotiations with and for members. We are currently in, and open to negotiation to enlist founding members with a view to being fully operational by 1 July 2020 in-line with major supplier agreements.” Manwaring said.
