This is why your next car event needs Monaco

What better destination could there be to host an automotive event than the Principality itself?

Planning overseas events may not be an option right now, but once it is safe to do so again, Monaco wants you to be ready – because what better destination could there be to host an automotive event than the Principality itself?

Historic, electric, glamorous and thrilling – in Monaco, motorsport events come in all shapes and sizes. While the iconic Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix doesn’t need an introduction, the Principality is also home to a number of lesser-known but equally exciting racing events including the Monaco Historic Grand Prix, Monaco ePrix as well as a number of international rallies, organised by the Automobile Club of Monaco.

It is this obvious passion for motorsports, coupled with the destination’s unrivalled expertise in the field, that sets Monaco apart from many other destinations when it comes to hosting unforgettable automotive events.

Here are 10 reasons to host your next car event in Monaco:

1. Endless ‘events within events’ possibilities
Motorsports may be the first thing to come to mind when thinking of the Principality but Monaco is also home to a range of other prestigious sporting events including such as the ATP Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters and the Monaco Yacht Show.

2. Iconic driving experiences
Cruising along the panoramic roads surrounding Monaco à la Cary Grant and Grace Kelly in the 1955 classic To Catch A Thief is a bucket list experience like no other. In the Principality itself, you have the world’s most prestigious Grand Prix track at your doorstep. You can discover the official track by guided tour, opt for a customised experience of self-driving by classic or race car or join a rally and make it a scavenger hunt. Other driving experiences include Go-Karting, 4WD drive experiences and Formula 3 driving.

3. Exceptional settings and venues
From Monaco’s legendary Grand Casino, its exceptional luxury hotel suites such as the Prince Rainier III Suite at Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo or the recently renovated Carré d’Or Suite at Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, to the stunning rooftop terrace of Monaco’s Oceanographic Museum, the Principality’s venue offering is exceptionally diverse. Soon, it may even be possible to privatise the Place du Casino – the beating heart of the Principality – for an unforgettable automotive event.

4. World-class hotels
Discover the all-new Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, Monaco’s most iconic five-star hotel, that recently started a new chapter after completing a four-year multi-million dollar renovation program last year or the luxurious five-star Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, a stunning Belle-Epoque property home to a pool area designed by Karl Lagerfeld. The Fairmont Monte-Carlo has long been a favourite among racing enthusiasts with its location right on the track’s famous hairpin turn. For a more ‘local’ Monaco experience, the Principality’s hidden gem, the three-star Columbus Hotel Monte-Carlo, is a property built originally for the Grand Prix racing drivers by former driver David Coulthard.

6. A sustainable destination
Monaco is a country that is pro-active and heeded, particularly on issues pertaining to the environment. Monaco invites event and incentive planners to be part of its green heart with a variety of sustainable motorsport activities available from rallying the streets by e-bike or taking advantage of Monaco’s latest innovative mode of eco-friendly transport: Mobee.

7. A ‘smart city’
More than a luxury holiday destination, Monaco is on a mission to become a ‘Smart Principality’, a concept the Prince’s government is developing through the #ExtendedMonaco program, seeking to make Monaco a “funding nation” for progress. The project has three strands: to massively improve the already exceptional quality of life, to deliver a new cycle of economic prosperity and to increase the value of public service. 9. Matchless value
This legendary land of glamour offers great value for groups and is no more expensive than other major cities in Europe, and if Monaco is known as the land of the “rich and famous”, and it is also the land of the “warm and the friendly” where English is widely spoken.

10. Diversity of sights and cultures
The variety of sights and cultures never leave guests wanting. Both the sunny French and Italian Rivieras are just steps away from Monaco.
