CLIA has launched a video Q&A series on Facebook for its travel advisor members, addressing some of the most commonly asked questions about the cruise industry in Australia and New Zealand.
Dubbed ‘Ask Joel’, the series sees CLIA Managing Director Australasia Joel Katz answering the sometimes tricky questions being asked of the industry, in an effort to educate the community on the steps being taken by the association in response to COVID-19 and the work being done by cruise lines behind the scenes.
In the first episode, Katz covers topics including the efforts taken to correct the perception of cruising in the media, CLIA’s role as a peak body and the processes and actions required to develop new ‘beyond-COVID’ industry protocols.
The series has been developed in response to a member survey, which found one in five cruise and industry stakeholders wants visibility of how others in the industry are adapting to the changing requirements.
CLIA members’ other frequently asked questions will follow in subsequent episodes.
“I encourage anyone in the wider cruise community to participate by sending in any questions you have to email@example.com, and we’ll do our best to address as many as we can in this series.”
The first video can be viewed on CLIA Australasia’s Facebook page here.
