Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will raise its flag in St Barts in the French West Indies in 2021 through the addition of the Le Guanahani retreat.
Closed since Hurricanes Irma and Maria struck parts of the Caribbean three years ago, the property will reopen as Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth following a full rebuild and refurbishment
Spread over seven hectares on a private peninsula and with two stunning beaches and a reef-protected lagoon, Le Guanahani originally opened in 1986 and established itself as one of the most iconic resorts in the world celebrated by both families and couples for its incredible beaches and relaxed style that complements St Barts’ chic ambience.

“A legendary resort cherished for its rich offerings, memorable service and captivating landscape, Le Guanahani is a jewel within the Caribbean and an idyllic destination for Rosewood’s affluential explorers,” said Sonia Cheng, CEO of Rosewood Hotel Group. “We are honoured to steward Rosewood Le Guanahani as it sets a new standard of luxury on St. Barts and around the world.”
Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth will join Rosewood’s portfolio of distinguished Caribbean and Atlantic properties, which currently includes Rosewood Baha Mar in The Bahamas, Rosewood Bermuda and Rosewood Little Dix Bay in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. Additional projects underway in the region include Rosewood Half Moon Bay in Antigua, set to open in 2023.
