Insight Vacations is offering a new collection of small private group journeys targeting 12-plus guests. The tours are typically part of Insight Vacations’ Autumn, Winter and Spring itineraries within Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean, North America and the tour operator’s ‘Ancient Civilisations’ destinations.
The program is yet to be marketed in Australia, likely due to the COVID-19 travel ban on leisure holidays which has seen Insight suspend all tours globally until the end of November 2020.
The new small group concept aims to enable guests to create their own travel bubble on select journeys.
Close to 40 itineraries are included in the 2020-2021 Autumn, Winter and Spring collection, including seven different Christmas Market trips through Europe visiting Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Prague and Russia.
Insight Vacations says the offering is a “new innovation, keeping guests’ wellbeing and comfort in mind while truly understanding the current traveller’s needs around reconnecting with their families and friends in a post-COVID-19 world”.
On the touring company’s Australian website, the Small Private Groups program is promoted as “an opportunity to book a trip of interest and travel exclusively with your friends and family”.
“Have peace of mind while you travel with people you know and with our elevated hygiene standards and protocol. The health and wellbeing of our guests and team has always been Insight Vacations’ top priority.”
When Australians are allowed to travel abroad, the intimate group option will be offered to countries including Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Egypt, Morocco, Israel, Jordan and North America, where there are four itineraries through the Southwest, California, Arizona and America’s West.
For Insight’s Small Private Group journeys from 12 guests onward, there is a surcharge on the original price of the trip based on the group size of:
- from 12-15 guests, a +30% surcharge will apply;
- from 16-19 guests there will be a +20% surcharge;
- from 20-25 guests a +10% surcharge will apply;
- from 26 guests onward, there will be no surcharge.
In addition to the added value for guests with the Small Private Group option, Insight will continue prioritising its guests’ wellbeing and peace of mind in a post-COVID-19 world. The brand has put numerous new measures in place to elevate its hygiene standards and protocols to adapt to the new world.
