NH Collection is expanding its portfolio into the Asia Pacific region for the first time, announcing plans for a Sydney CBD address.
NH Collection Sydney will be NH Hotel Group’s maiden upper-upscale branded property in Australia, Oceania and the greater Asia Pacific. NH Collection’s stable of 90 properties are located in 17 countries, predominantly in Europe and Latin America. The group also has standalone hotels in New York City, USA; Havana, Cuba; and Doha, Qatar.
NH Collection Sydney will feature 254 stylishly appointed hotel rooms, a speciality restaurant, state-of-the-art meeting and conference facilities and a gym. The new-build development is set for completion in 2023 and will be located on Wentworth Street in Sydney’s CBD.
“We are thrilled to be launching the prestigious brand of NH Collection into the Australian market, delivering signature NH Collection hospitality with local Australian charm,’ said Craig Hooley, Chief Operating Officer of Minor Hotels Australia and New Zealand.
Situated within walking distance to Central train station, guests will be able to travel conveniently across the city, allowing easy access to many of Sydney’s key tourism destinations and business districts.
“We have been eager to launch the NH Collection brand in Australia for a number of years now, although vowed only to do so when we could open in one of Sydney’s best locations. We are confident that the hotel’s central location will provide leisure and corporate travellers the best of Sydney on their doorstep,” said Hooley.
Minor Hotel Group also operates brands including Anantara Hotels Resorts Spas, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, Avani Hotels & Resorts and Oaks Hotels, Resorts and Suites.
