Wind Spirit returning to Australasian waters in 2021/2022

Reservations open for new season yacht departures in Oceania waters

Bookings have opened for Windstar Cruises’ late 2021/2022 voyages around the globe, which includes whistle-stop visits to Australia.

The program includes four sailings in local waters aboard Wind Spirit; a 7-day Coral Sea Crossing from Noumea to Cairns on 4 December 2021 and a return voyage on 7 March, 2022; along with the 16-day Australia & Indonesia Encounter from Cairns to Benoa (Bali) on 11 December, 2021 and a return voyage on 19 February, 2022. The sailings bookend a series of departures through Indonesia, the Timor Sea and beyond.

Windstar Cruise Vice President of Sales, Steve Simao told LATTE the Wind Spirit and her sister Wind Star are among the cruise line’s most popular yachts with past guests.

“We are always looking at ways for our guests to experience the uniqueness of these small ships’ design with only 148 guests in new regions of the world. Pulling into some of these unique Australian ports aboard one of the few small cruise ships with sails will truly make guests onboard the envy of everyone else,” Simao said.

Windstar’s Coral Sea Crossing aboard Wind Spirit is one for people who enjoy sea days, he said.

“We have many loyal guests who prefer to take the crossings for the relaxation time on board.

Simao said the longer Australia & Indonesia Encounter cruise offers a combination of sea days and port calls in Australia and Indonesia, and a crossing of the Timor Sea.

“It’s a unique itinerary, great for someone who like to dive into culture.”
